This was my embracing our differences image. My idea for this piece was to show how everyone is different. No ones the same when you look carefully. On the outside people may look the same but once you look carefully and really understand people, you see that people have their own personality and character. To create this piece, I used mixed media by using colored pencil as well as sharpie. I focused a lot on contrast in this piece as well as emphasizing pieces of color to make the people in the glasses stand out. I created unity by the repeating patterns and similar color scheme. In the glasses the people are all different shapes and sizes, showing that people come in all sizes and have different problems to deal with.
